North Dearborn St., Chicago IL R6 Mark II RF24-105mm F4 L IS USM
Temperatures in Chicago were in the high 90's but felt like 107* - 110* and the clouds formations were spectacular. I took this shot for the interplay of warm yellow brick, sharp sculpted shadows, and that delicate marbled sky textured like fine brushwork. Some days the clouds were fluffy and evenly spaced, like the "Windows" screen saver.

Exceptional photograph; not only included the geometric idea of the apartments but topped off with the clouds. Like whipped cream on the ice cream sundae. Clouds are some of my favorite subjects.

The orange color of the brick really stands out.

Lee,
The color of the bricks are yellow! That's one of the reasons I took the shots, because of the yellow bricks. 😊

It's displaying orange on my monitor. Maybe the saturation was cranked up too much? No biggie. It's a great photo.

Hi Lee,
The building is "Yellow Brick", the Raw photo is "Yellow Brick" and the saturation on the photo is 0. Therefore the saturation was not cranked to high. Your monitor's colors settings are off. Make sure it is set on sRGB. Perhaps the saturation on your monitor is cranked up to high. Or maybe you need a new monitor! 😀

No need to be so touchy. The picture is underexposed. I thought maybe it was heavy handed editing. Oh well...

Lee,
Not being touchy. I'm just trying to help you because if your monitor is showing orange/red bricks than something maybe wrong with it. Maybe your settings are off or you need a new monitor. In any case you know what they say about assuming. Just FYI, I don't do heavy handed editing and you should practice what you preach, "Choose to speak positively to people; the world has enough unhappy bullies". Accusing someone of heavy editing without any factual information and basing it on meare assumptions/speculations is not very friendly or polite. I don't remember asking you for your critique or your thoughts on the picture. It's funny that on my cell the bricks are yellow and on my other monitors the bricks are yellow, so based on that I felt that I should let you know that there is something wrong with your monitor. 😉

I will steer clear of you in the future. Jeez!
You will note if you read what I said that I was very complimentary of the picture.
Red bricks????
PS: When you post a picture you invite critique.
Namaste and out!!!

They're not red bricks, they're yellow bricks.. There really must be something wrong with your monitor. Telling someone "The orange color of the brick really stands out.", leads one to believe that there is something wrong with your monitor. Unless you were in a roundabout way trying to insult my work. "If you can say anything nice, than don't say anything at all", Thumper. In any case, the matters is squashed.
