South Florida’s green iguanas live like they’re on permanent spring break—sunbathing on seawalls, doing cannonballs into backyard pools, and acting like HOA rules were written for other species. These lizard freeloaders strut around with the confidence of creatures who know they were never invited but showed up anyway, multiplied, and now run the place.
They munch hibiscus like it’s a five‑star brunch, fall out of trees during cold snaps like scaly piñatas, and stare at you with that “I pay zero rent and you can’t stop me” energy. In short: they’re the unofficial, unbothered, sun‑drenched mascots of South Florida—equal parts majestic, chaotic, and aggressively green.
