First Afternoon in Reykjavik

From 2024.  I have a lot more that I took with my phone.  My R8 had an issue after 4 or 5 days - 50mm lens got stuck and wouldn't come off.  NOT bad-mouthing the R8 - stuff happens - really my fault.  I had just gotten a lot of the gear and hadn't really tested it out - BAD idea.  So I had to take wider shots with my Samsung S10.  Got some good shots, but I only post Canon shots here. These were all with the RF 28mm f/2.8 pancake lens - a super fun street photo lens.

While I like the last one if I had only just had us move to the left and have the shadows going down the path!  Oh well, there are a gazillion other photos that I can "I just wish I had..." about 🙂  We took in the sights, a short bus tour and a museum - all before the actual tour began.  Fun memories.

I really like the ascending glass panels shot, fading out into the top of the image. What is the building that is in the photograph.

Thank you.  It's the exterior of the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre, the ceiling of which is the next photo.  The mask is from the National Museum of Iceland - sort of prehistoric and, if I recall correctly, the sign under it said nobody really knows what it was used for.

I knew I had seen this structure before it was on an episode of How It Was Built on the Smithsonian channel. Beautiful building.
