For years I was blessed with a beautiful garden created by a master gardener who lived across the street from me. My neighbor and I bonded over gardening and photography. Each spring and summer her garden was a virtual kaleidoscope of color. And with all the color came all sorts of creatures, including hundreds of butterflies and bees. I was in photography heaven. My friend recently turned 80. She has moved to a senior living development. Her garden across the street has gone to seed. The new neighbors are nice, but they are not gardeners. I miss my friend. And I miss the glory of her garden where I spent countless hours capturing its beauty. Moral of the story - cherish what you have, it might not always be there.
