Bumble bee on a cool morning.

I see you’re back to Macro photography. How’s the EF-S 60mm F/2.8 USM lens. Is it slow or fast to AF I know it’s an older design. That has been replaced by a newer STM variant but a different focal length.

Demtrius,
The EF-S 60mm is a fine lens. Focus is very quick and silent and the only thing missing (in my opinion) is IS.
I enjoy dabbling in macro and other forms of “hobby” shooting and experimenting via trial and error. The bumble bee shot happened when I was trying to get some shots of a spider weaving a web around his prey and the bee landed on an adjacent flower. The pop up flash was already up so I just put the focus point on the bee and got 2 shots before he flew off. I was had my camera bag with me while I was waiting for my wife to finish an appointment and walked over to a local park that had lots of flowers. We’re visiting family in Michigan so it’s cool and the insects are slower in the cool morning.

Thanks for noticing my photo.
