I do see hummingbirds in the backyard and around the neighborhood often, but rarely have my camera at the ready or just wasn't able to get a decent image. However I tried to learn from my many mistakes.
When I saw this one in the backyard when I opened the blinds for the day, I quicky got the camera, lens, flash combination together and got my settings where I thought they had to be. As luck would have it, the hummingbird was still there and concentrating on the flower and not on me.
