During a peaceful forest walk, I was fortunate to come across this stunning cicada perched on a vibrant green leaf. This unexpected encounter provided a unique opportunity to capture the intricate details and vibrant colors of this fascinating insect. Known for their distinctive calls, cicadas spend years underground, only emerging to create a spectacular natural phenomenon that won't be seen again until 2037. This photograph not only showcases the cicada's beauty but also highlights the importance of preserving our natural world

Agree with you totally!  Nice shot and thank you for posting the EXIF data and the contextual information.  Both add a lot to the image.

cheers, TREVOR

The mark of good photographer is less what they hold in their hand, it's more what they hold in their head;
"All the variety, all the charm, all the beauty of life is made up of light and shadow", Leo Tolstoy;
"Skill in photography is acquired by practice and not by purchase" Percy W. Harris

Thank you!!!
