i am trying to install a scanner lide 400 and i stalls on section 3, i have restarted the computer and the install process, i have unistalled the software in device manager and repeated the above, i have turned of the firewall and repeated, i have used the CD and also the web software, there is no messages or error messages.
WHAT DO I DO NOW !!!

I had the same problem. When I used a usb hub with its own mains power supply everything worked correctly. Canon needs to spread this fix far and wide, especially to its on line help.
