Setup for LiDE 400 hangs on Step 3: Scanner Connection

I am trying to setup CanoScan LiDE 400 on my Windows computer (running Windows 11 version 10.0.22631 using win-lide400-1_1-n_mcd, and it hangs on Step 3 of the Setup process, with no error messages.

Found the solution. I had to fully uninstall the scanner drivers from Device Manager, and then installation went without a hitch.
