I rebuilt my PC over the weekend as the hard disk was failing, and now the scanner driver won't detect the scanner during installation. I can see the scanner in devices, but no matter what I do during the driver installation, it won't recognize the scanner to complete the installation.
Scanner worked just fine prior to rebuild, and I have tested multiple cords and USB ports. Any advice would be appreciated to get this scanner back up and working.
Is there a way to instal the driver without the scanner connected, or a way to force the install to recognize the scanner that the computer can see? Driver downloaded and installed from https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/canoscan-lide-120#idReference%3Dsoftware-drivers
