Hey,
for the replacement of our current scanner, the DR-S350NW came into consideration.
We need a scanner that can write compressed TIFF (300dpi, 24bit color) directly to SMB shares with no PC.
The manual does not give any information on the compression type.
Does anybody know which type is used? LZW ? JPEG ?
Can the scanner create PDF/A files directly on SMB shares?
Thanks

Hello!
Canon USA's extensive dealer network sells this unit. If you don't have a relationship with a Canon dealer, check out this link to find one: https://canon.us/3DMTqcY

Hey Stephen,
thanks for the reply.
I gave no supply chain issue. If the decision is made, we have a reliable dealer.
The question is mainly:
Which compression format is used by the DR-S350NW for TIFF (300dpi, 24bit color) if we send the scans directly to SMB shares without the PC? LZW?J PEG?
And can the scanner create PDF/A files directly on SMB shares?
I asked the dealer, and he said "ask Canon Support".
Then I asked the Support and they told me that I have to ask the dealer....
So my last idea was to ask here, and if I cannot get the information, I will have to switch to another brand....

Is it not possible to clarify here in the forum so that all others can participate in the knowledge?
