I followed the instructions given to find the firmware version on my vixia HF R11 and it does not show up on the menu at all. How do I find my firmware version and whether I need to upgrade it to the latest one? I would appreciate any help you can give me.
I've been using this camcorder for a few years now and just came across the article on upgrading the firmware. I'm not sure that I need to upgrade this firmware since it does not show in the menu, that is the settings menu.
To tell you a little bit about myself, I am a semi retired, due to health problems, Baptist preacher who served for 30 years in Canada as a missionary. I now record and make available Bible study courses to aid missionaries and churches. That is what I bought this camcorder to do and it is worked excellent for me over the years, I think I've had it for maybe four years, just not certain. Thanks again for any help you can give me.
