Loving that Canon included an auto-tracking function but the lite version is unnecessarily crippled IMO. I'd even be happy with a 2 tier paid license, like a basic/pro. Basic could enable sensitivity, auto-zoom, display size and silhouette positioning for a few hundred, Pro could enable all the fine tuning like area exclusions for the full $1200.
IMO for the lite version the Auto Zoom should be controllable, especially since you can't use a middle range shot. The tight shot seems to hunt in and out, especially on an offset shot where it doesn't always perfectly detect the face for tracking. For our purposes, the auto zoom causes more problems than its worth and seems a basic function.
In a similar vein, the tracking position would be helpful if we could adjust it or if the Display Size 2 shot were balanced to put the face on the top third instead of almost centered. The Display size 4 seems to frame things well with a speaker's head on the top third line. The Display size 2 makes everyone look like little kids. The ideal would be to have some adjustment so that offset shots could be adjusted to a better framing depending on which side of a speaker is captured with multiple cameras.
