How can I transfer video from aZR80 to Windows 10?

Option 1:
If you have a free slot on your PC add a FireWire card and then find a legacy driver for the card as Windows 10 does not come with FireWire support.

Option 2 (this may be the easiest of the two):
Buy a video capture device (usually connects via a USB port) and you use the AV cable to connect the camcorder to the video capture device.

Well, that's what I thought. Not very encouraging. ;( I was hoping to not have to buy anything. Oh well.

I understand the frustration. I have four camcorders that connect via FireWire. The idea of having to purchase anything extra is definitely unappealing. The only reason I have FireWire is when I built the computer I built it with video capture in mind.

I appreciate your time to answer my question. Unfortunately, I have an all-in-one computer so, no way to add any cards. I'm going to have to go with an external solution. I'm going to try with one of those Video to USB connectors and see if I can get my Adobe Premier to recognise the video input. I don't really need to worry much about the quallity, standard low res is fine. I'm just making background videos for projection behind the band while they're playing. Thanks again for your help.
