Can't register my r5c

I purchased a refurbished r5c through a verified seller on amazon. I am unable to register the camera. The serial number isn't accepted.

Was it a 3rd party seller?

Unless it was an authorized Canon reseller, you probably ended up with a gray market item or one that was meant to be sold to regions outside the US.   If this was the case, return it.

If you purchased that "renewed" item, it's not an authorized seller.
