Which codec are you using to capture your footage? When I visit the Canon Support Page for the C500 Mark II, I see plugins for working with RAW in Final Cut as well as Canon's XF Utility, amongst other things.
I did though have to change the dropdown on that support page to an older OS version for the list to be populated.

One workaround you can try is to convert your CRM files to a compatible format using a video converter tool.
There are many video converter tools available online that you can use to convert your CRM files to a format that Final Cut can recognize. If it is just a software issue, try a project management online tool. I personally use this one. I hope that helps, and good luck with your editing!
