RGB images converted to "B&W" (RGB 16bit TIF images) have strong warm cast. Printing through Photoshop 24.2 on Mac Pro Monterey 12.6.2, Pixma Pro 100. Using appropriate ICC profiles for the selected papers. Printing as 16bit RGB (not using the "print as black & white Photo" option) and "Photoshop Manages Colors" option. Monitor is calibrated. Images appear as greyscale on screen. (Single layer RGB 16bit images/Adobe RGB color space)
- Is ink age a factor? (using only canon insets)
-Canon Paper Pro Luster, Photo Paper Plus Glossy II, & Moab Juniper Baryta Rag 305 all print with a pronounced warm cast.
Numerous online discussions have not provided anything but vague suggestions that do not resolve the issue. I understand that this printer only has 3 neutral inks, but I believe this printer should be capable of printing "black & white" images that are more neutral (imperceptible color shift). Looking for suggestions..

What lighting type are you viewing with. I have found that different lighting types can cause different color casts.
