imagePROGRAF PRO-300 encoder strip needs repaired

MPizana96

Hello,

I am looking for advise for what to do in this situation. My son came into my room and accidentally damaged the PRO-300. It was my fault. Attach is a picture of the piece that was broken. I'm not to sure if there is anything else damaged. Cord is always disconnect when I'm not using it. The printer was off. I purchased this last year on July 8th on Amazon. What would be the best way for me to getting this repaired?

Greetings,

That appears to be a encoder (timing) strip.  Have you looked to see if you could refasten it?  Unless the tab was broken or the spring was pulled hard and stretched. Do you have a CarePak for it?

I think you're going to want to reach out to Canon to discuss your options.
