imagePROGRAF PRO-300 Care recommendations, artifacts

Greetings, I'm loving my new printer, have printed at least 100 maybe 150 13X19 on it so far.

I have 2 questions:

1) I will be away for a couple of months, will it automatically agitate the cartridges if I leave it on?  It seems to turn itself off.

2) All of a sudden, I am getting an artifact strait line down the page:  Any thoughts on why and how to fix?

I can't speak to all your questions, but I leave my Image PROGRAF PRO-300 on and I've never had it turn itself off (except possibly during a power outage but it's plugged into a UPS). I don't use it regularly. Mine is connected with a USB cable to the computer. If you're connected wirelessly, I'm wondering if that could have anything to do with it turning itself off?
