imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 Reported ink levels inaccurate after self-cleaning

Kobinme

I recently purchased the Pro-1100. Yesterday I prepared to print an image and the printer as usual began agitating the ink and then it did its usual quick clean of the heads. However, then It started doing something else.... possibly the deep cleaning I am hearing it performs at 3 mths. This went for about 10 min and at the end of it indicated that all my cartridges were empty. Prior to this cleaning cycle I had 4 cartridges, the blacks and gray that indicated they were low. the rest did not. I opened the ink door and popped out some cartridges that I knew were not close to being empty. When I shook them I could hear that several were still at least a quarter full, one probably a third full. The information window showed that only the PC cartridge on the far right still had ink. However, when I removed the cartridge to check it is obvious that that cartridge is actually empty although it is not indicating that it is. Prior to all of this I printed an image about 5 days ago and my printer is always on. Also I am not able to get out of the screen to check on the status of the maintenance cartridge. I am hesitant to put more ink into it as I'm not sure what happened actually and why it is indicating my ink tanks are empty when they're not! I use the 4100 canon ink. Something is not reading right.
