imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 What changes and fixes are in firmware 3.0?

I installed the firmware and the printer works fine.... but....curious what changes or bug fixes were made. I know the previous version did some nice things.... like letting it print 17" x 48" for panos. Would be nice if they included an email or something explaining the fixes/upgrades. Mine auto downloaded and installed with no input from me.

I see that I am quite late to this party. Please pardon my late attendance. My troubles with the Pro1000 are close to what has already been posted and solved. Basically, my matte photos turn out almost like negatives while gloss photos are fine. The nozzle cleaning shows me either a partial cross hatching or nothing at all in the matte black section. Given what I’ve read here, i guess I must waste more ink with more head cleanings. I will do that. But, have I missed any further actions? Thanks.

I never got an answer 😉 Your issue is due to clogged head. I never have issues with clogging. The trick is to print a small print each day that keeps the nozzles clean. There is a great app for Windows called Qimage One that sets this up for auto print each day. May have a version for Apple also. You should go it printer setup and turn off auto shutdown also. Leaving it on all the time avoids auto purging also. The amount of ink used in the app every day is microscopic. That being said, the printer is a pro version so designed for daily use... not minimal use. I have had mine for 4 years and no issues at all.

Greetings,

Unfortunately, Canon doesn't include release notes for printer firmware updates much of the time.  It would be best to contact Canon support to get answers about this.
