Pro-2000 Chroma Optimizer

Manoa

Iʻm printing matte paper for now with my new Pro-2000 but would like to make use of the chroma optimizer. Yes, I know this is intended for glossy and luster photo papers, but after printing on matte I often apply an acrylic coating from Breathing Color on my prints, diluted to yield a slightly semi-gloss surface. I find that this has a wonderful effect on d-max and on the general presentation of the image, eliminating the need to place it behind plexi.

My previous printer was an Epson 4880. With Quadtone RIP, users are able to fill a cartridge with an equivalent coating and to control its application on the print, no matter what paper is being used. Is there an equivalent work flow for the Pro-2000? A 3rd party RIP like Quadtone RIP perhaps?

I have the felling I already know the answer, but the question is worth asking.

Thanks!

Hello.

Chroma Optimizer is only available for certain media type settings.  Additionally, we cannot advise that ink tanks are manually filled/refilled or that third party inks are used with our printers.
