Hi
i have a Prograf 1000
i must have used half of all new ink refills and a new maintenance cartridge the last few days doing so many cleans it’s becoming painfully expensive.
it’s just blues. I can’t say which but Cyan shade is main culprit. It could be Cyan or PC but it’s blues that just start ok then fade out in last half of any print.
I keep doing test patterns which after a clean become ok but then after one or two prints it happens again.
I can’t trust my printer to print anything with a blue in it now and it’s cost me a lot of money so far in ink, maintenance carts and fine art paper.
I'm at my wits end. When I get a good test pattern I trust the print to be good but it’s like I need to clean the head after every print and it’s just killing my pocket.
Any ideas please before I just take a hammer to it?
Thanks
Also I’m on latest firmware and use professional print and layout. It has happened with other programs as a test so it not software related imo.
I have not done a deep clean which terrifies me after a normal clean is costing me so much ink.
