PRO 10S or 1000 with 4 inks only? (cmyk)

Hello, I might buy one of those printers but the cost to fill the whole things with fresh inks is like 700€ which is too much for me.

Is it possible to use those printers with 4 inks only (CMYK) instead of the 12 inks to save money? Will it refuse to print or operate ? I've known printerd using only cmyk and doing well. Plus, I'll only print on matte paper!

No.  These printers will cease to operate without all of their inks installed and having adequete ink reserves available. 

Many people come to this realization after purchasing.  Too costly for you, suggest you put it on eBay and use an alternate service.  Other issues.  If you aren't using the printer(s) on a regular basis, the pigmented based inks will dry up and clog the print head.  A deep cleaning can run you $20 - $40 every time you press the button.

This is the reality of high end photo printers.
