My print head stopped working and I bought an offbrand replacement which looks just the same, but when I went to install it I got a message that the head is a non-Canon print head. Is there a way to get the printer to accept the print head?

Using a non-Canon printhead in your PIXMA Pro9500 Mark II is not supported by Canon USA.
Maybe the reseller or manufacturer of the printhead that you purchased can assist you with using their printhead in your printer.

Thanks. That's not the news I wanted, but I understand. I forgot where I got the print head.
