I notice you can get some parts of the printer package , the easy. Print , for Yosemite , but not the actual driver for the printer. That seems most odd, is there any chance of th drivers arriving?

Easy Photo Pro may just work with your OS and was not designed especially for it.  You also may not need the driver if it is not on the Canon web site.  If not I doubt they will create one.

I sorted the problem with Gutenprint, thanks for trying to help. As we thought Canon could not help although I must say their Customer Service people were excellent.
