Canon Pixma Pro 100 and Catalina?

angeposs

I have a brand new iMac running Catalina and am having all sorts of issues getting my Pixma Pro 100 up and running. Are the  incompatible? Are there installation instructions I missed? I had zero probelms getting this same printer going on my older Mac a couple of yers ago. Can someone fill me in?

When I tried to download the drivers the Canon USA site was down so I messaged Canon through Facebook. They got right back to me and sent me to the Canon Canada page - which was not a secure download. Could that be part of the problem?

Thanks so much for any information and suggestions!

Hi Angeposs.

In a pinch, you can use the drivers and software for the PRO-100S (a European model) from the IJ Setup website:  https://ugp01.c-ij.com/ij/webmanual/WebPortal/PTL/ptl-setup.html?lng=en&type=setup&mdl=PRO-100S&area...

Occasionally, drivers may experience problems when an OS update occurs; in that case, you may need to wait to update to the latest version until stable drivers have been confirmed for that newer update.  The latest version of the drivers, and any patches, will be on the download pages for each supported printer.
