Black printing issues - Canon imagePROGRAF Pro-300

Hi, I am printing from Mac (Sonoma). Printing A3 prints of 16 inch across the 16.5 inch paper. Paper - Perma Jet, Oyster.

At 15.5 inches on the paper the print finish changes  and a band is visible across the final 0.7 inches of the print. It is hard to see at first but in different light you can see there is an imperfection in the image. I have tried different but similar dark images, color testing the image in Photoshop to make sure it's not on the original image. I have flipped the image and used paper from different batch numbers. The issue persists.

it's almost like the printer fatigues after printing 15.5 inch of the image and stops doing something it was across the image to that point. Inks are Canon and well above half full. Black inks have been replaced, nozzle checks etc all good.

It's stumped Canon support who advised me to print it smaller on the paper!!

Anyone else experienced bands at the end of a print particularly on images with large proportion black.
