Nearly every major website shows an "out of stock" message on this printer. I have one back-ordered but haven't heard when it's likely to ship.
Is there a supply chain problem? Or could it be that Canon is preparing to announce an improved replacement?
I realize this is probably a speculative topic but would like to hear from anyone who has reason/facts to back up their suspicions.
Thanks.

Hello!
It's likely a supply chain issue. The pandemic has caused ongoing disruptions, including shortages of components like microchips, which are crucial for modern printers. While there's no specific information about a new Canon printer release, it's always possible.
