I work at a school with a Canon imagePROGRAF TA-30 large format printer used by our art/design students. The printer has an administrator password set on it. The administrator who set the password is no longer with us and no longer reachable, and we have searched through records to no avail--we cannot find the password. We have tried the original password (serial number) and every iteration of password we can possibly think of.
How can we recover the admin password, or reset the printer to factory settings? We have tried to get to the "Reset Settings" option under Device Settings, but it requires an admin password to get there. Are we just stuck at this point?
