Canon won't honor their warranty on a defective print head.  I will never recommend Prograf wide format equipment and the Canon service (lack of) behind it. Time to move on.

Apprentice??? I have been on Prografs since the 8400, I repaired them when service techs could not. Cap assemblies, motherboard replacement, broken gears (that Canon would not sell us), clogged lower ink tanks- been there. 35 years making prints, digital printing started with Iris.

Greetings,

Please visit the forum FAQ section and review community ranking.

With only three posts in the community, you are at apprentice level.  This has nothing to do with your skill level or the amount of experience you have with Canon products.

Thanks for the info, bobjewett22, though we need just a little bit more.  We have three different imagePROGRAF models with the number 4000 in their name, so do you have the imagePROGRAF PRO-4000, the imagePROGRAF TX-4000, or the imagePROGRAF GP-4000?

Thanks for the info.
