I have a need to print up commercial DOT signs for semi-trucks using self adhesive vinyl paper. These are exposed to the sun and weather 24hrs. After printing out signs I give them 1hr to fully dry, spray UV clear mate spray to help extend the life of the black, wait another hour for that to dry, and then laminate the front with a clear laminate sheet. Doing all this, the black ink starts to fade within 3-4 months. Any suggestions on what settings I would need to print on in order to make the black ink last longer if possible? Or maybe suggestions on using a different self adhesive media to print on instead? Any info would be appreciated, thank you.

I also have a imagePROGRAF IPF780 and when I tried printing on self-adhesive vinyl paper I got extreme banding across the printout. Can I ask what the thickness is of the paper you are using and what paper setting you are using when you load this paper?
