OCE 345 long scan not working

Hi.  We have a historical document we'd like to scan.  It's hand-drawn on a 30 ft long roll of paper.

When we scan it, the file only contains the middle portion of the drawing.  Any suggestions on how to get it to scan the whole thing would be welcome.
