scan error "no response"

Hi there! Using Cannon ir advance c7260i; trying to scan to a folder using samba share. Able to browse the network from printer UI and select folder on the PC, but then get message "no response".  Checked ll settings as far as I can see.. OS on the PC is Linux Mint 19; all permissions seem correct. Can anyone help?

I bought th scanner second hand, and the dealer did not have enough tech expertise to help. Cannon Australia did not help.

Regardless - I fixed the issue.  For anyoe else who might have the issue:

In the samba gui (that is, in nemo-share right-click "sharing options") selected "guest access" as well as "allow other users...".

So guest access in samba fixed it somehow.
