I upgraded my computer and in the process lost the drivers for my MF4270. Previously it was installed with UFR II LT drivers, but I cannot find them. Is there somewhere to get the installation package for the drivers to use my MF4270?
Thanks for your help.

Hello, thanks for posting this question. This is a very common issue when trying to integrate older, reliable office machines with modern, recently upgraded computer hardware and operating systems.
First, let's address the core issue: the imageCLASS MF4270 is a retired product on the Canon U.S.A. support site.
1. Official Status & Limitations
Driver Availability: Canon is no longer providing new official driver or content updates for the MF4270, including new versions of the UFR II LT drivers, to support the latest operating systems (e.g., Windows 11, macOS 14/15/26).
Your OS is Key: The ability to find and reinstall the "UFR II LT drivers" you remember depends entirely on the operating system (OS) you upgraded to. If you are using an older OS (e.g., Windows 10 or older, or an older version of Mac OS X), the last released drivers might still be available on the product support page under the Downloads section.
2. Step-by-Step Guidance
Step 1: Determine Your Current OS
You must first verify the exact version of Windows or macOS on your newly upgraded computer.
Step 2: Check the Canon Support Page
Go to the official Canon support page for the MF4270 (link provided below).
Select your verified operating system from the drop-down menu.
If a driver package appears, it is the last officially supported driver. Download and attempt the installation.
Limitation: If your OS is too new, the selection menu will likely show "0" results, meaning there is no official, supported software package for that operating system.
3. Pro Tips (Troubleshooting)
Windows: If you are using Windows 10 or 11 and find a Windows 8 or 10 driver, sometimes installing it in Compatibility Mode can help restore basic printing functionality. (This is an unofficial workaround, but may work for older peripherals.)
Mac: For macOS, compatibility is often lost completely with major OS version jumps due to Apple’s changes. If the driver is not listed, full functionality (especially scanning) is unlikely to be recovered.
Scanning Workaround: If printing fails, sometimes the scanning function can still be accessed directly via a TWAIN-compliant application or the Windows Fax and Scan utility, even without full Canon software support.
If you are running a current, unsupported operating system and need the full multifunction features of your printer, it may be time to consider one of our current imageCLASS models that are fully supported with modern operating systems.
