Windows 11 PC. The Printer is connected via WiFi. The Computer and Printer are on the same WiFi network.
I Installed the software in this order. MF642CMFDriverV6405W64, then winmfscanutilityv12102, and finally MF740_MF640_Send_V102
In the Canon MF Network Scanner Selector, I can see the printer listed. I am able to print from my PC to the printer wirelessly.
When I try to initiative a scan from my PC, I get the following error:
---------------------------
ScanGear MF
---------------------------
Cannot communicate with the scanner.
The cable may be disconnected, or the scanner may be turned off.
Check the scanner status and try again.
Scanner driver will be terminated.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
When I try to do a scan to computer from the Printer itself, I can see my computer listed. But when I start scanning, the computer pops up the same error.
If I use the built in Windows Fax and Scan software, I am able to scan from the printer.
I'd like to use the Canon MF Scan Utility. Can someone help me fix this error?
Cheers!
