imageCLASS MF462dw - not working on 2.4 network

Hello!

I followed this solution, https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Printer-Software-Networking/imageCLASS-MF641Cw-WiFi-password-is-d... (creating unique names for each broadcast and connecting the printer to the 2.4 network) when our printer was not connecting to wifi and that worked for some time.

Now it has suddenly stopped working. It is still connecting to the 2.4 network, the network is working, but the printer will not print and the error message says "could not connecy. make sure the security settings configured for the device and the access point are the same". Nothing changed on our end so why is it that it not working and what solution can get it back online?

Please and thank you!

Greetings,

It might be helpful.to confirm the following.

Log into the router and look at the list of attached devices.

You should see your computer and you should see your printer.  Take note of the IP addresses the router has assigned.

Open another tab on your web browser.  Enter the IP address the router has assigned to the printer and press enter.

Does the printer's webserver display?

We can provide next steps once you confirm the above.
