Yes/No: mx922 support from ChromeOS *without* Cloud Print?

I just need for Canon to step up and *definitively* answer this question:

Does Canon support printing from ChromeOS for the MX920/922 printers WITHOUT the use of Google Cloud Print?

If yes, please describe how to do it.

- as of 12/30/2020, the lastest build of ChromeOS does not list a 92* printer.

If no, please say so on your 920/922 support page so that countless users don't waste hours.

Greetings,

Google is the party responsible for discontinuing Cloud Print support, not Canon.

Google has made the official announcement and suggested alternatives.

Correct - but that wasn't my question.

Yes - Google has suggested alternatives - none of which work with the 922.  I'm asking the maker of the printer if they know of a way to make it print from ChromeOS to the 920/922 *without* Cloud Print.

Giving this thread a nudge to the top to see if anyone has found a solution for Chromebooks and the 920/922.
