Why my Ipad do not recognize my MX870 printer ?

I have Pixma MX870 printer. I download Canon printer to my Ipad so I can print my documments, I need to add device, it required QR code or enter connection code. I don't know where QR code in this printer, and also I don't know what is connection code.

Would you please help me!

Hello.

The MX870 is not compatible with iOS devices such as your iPad.  This printer can only be used with compatible Windows or Mac OSX computers.
