PIXMA TS3722, printer not found, wireless symbol but no bars for connectivity

my 3722 printer worked fine on verizon fios network then fios had me replace the router and set top boxes and the printer can't be found. Im still using win10 on the laptop but everything was fine until the router change. I've tried reinstalling, pressing all the buttons on the printer as instructed, reset the router, reset the printer, take the firewall down, did a master setup from Canon and the screen on the printer still shows a wireless symbol but no bars for connectivity.  Anything else to try so the printer 'sees' the new network? Thank you

Verizon equipment.  Let's start with this.  The printer requires a 2.4 GHz wireless broadcast that supports WPA2 encryption.  Please ensure your network meets these requirements. 

Hints:  If the router uses the same SSID name for all broadcasts, you can give each network a unique name or temporarily disable the broadcast(s) the printer cannot connect to and re-enable once a successful connection is made.  The printer cannot connect to a network that uses WPA3 security.  So look for WPA3/WPA2 combo or WPA2 only for the 2.4 Ghz broadcast.

After a ruter change, it's possible you may need to reinstall the printer on your computer.  Start by removing it from the printer and scanners applet then uninstall its driver from programs and features.  Restart your computer. 

Now rerun the setup utility choosing the new 2.4 GHz broadcast that uses WPA2 encryption. You'll be prompted to choose the SSID name and enter the new password.  This should get you going again.
