PIXMA TR8620 intermittent printing over 6 months.

I have researched and done every solution recommended for our issue.  The printer is on wifi.  I always ping the printer to make sure it isn't the wifi connection.  Windows will still say it is offline when I can ping the printer.  The printer will work for a few days maybe a week or two then will just stop.  It will say the printer is offline when it isn't.  It will just say it is printing on windows when nothing is happening on the printer.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers many times.  When it stops recognizing the printer is online then I have cleared out any and all printer jobs, cleared out the printer spool, removed the printer then readded the printer, I have added it by the network name and the IP address.  None of that solves the problem for more then a week.  I need an actual solution to the problem not band aids that have to keep getting put back on.  We don't print a lot at our workplace, but when we do need to print we need to print quickly.  Please help

Hi Phoenixfire,

Changing the power settings of your TR8620 may resolve this issue.  Please follow these steps:

1.  Please tap the gear icon at the bottom of the display of your PIXMA TR8620.

2.  Please scroll down the list and tap ECO.

3.  Tap Energy saving settings.

4.  Tap Next.

5.  Tap Auto power off and select "Never" from the top of the list.

6.  Tap Auto power on and select "ON".

7.  Tap OK.

8.  Tap the Home icon in the upper left corner.

Also, disabling IPv6 on your printer may help as well.    Please turn your PIXMA TR8620 on and then follow these steps:

1. Please tap the Wi-Fi icon in the lower left corner of your PIXMA TR8620's display.

2. Tap Wi-Fi.

3. Tap the Advanced button at the bottom of the display.

4. Tap TCP/IP settings.

5. Tap IPv6 and then Yes.

6. Tap Enable/disable IPv6 and then tap Disable.
