PIXMA TR7020a connected to Wi-Fi but still not printing

I just got a Canon Pixma TR 7020a  printer, both my IPhone and iPad show I’m connected to the printer thru the Wi-Fi but I still cannot print anything from neither device.

I have no clue 

To check your iOS version, open the Settings app on the device and then tap General, tap About, and then look for Software Version.  The number next to that is what we need here.

Because it is very difficult to diagnose and resolve network issues via message board, it is recommended that you contact one of Canon's Technical Support Representatives via phone or chat. To contact a Technical Support Representative, please use the link below to log into your My Canon account:

https://mycanon.usa.canon.com

Once logged in, click on your PIXMA TR7020a and then click on the Product Support button. When that page loads, click on either the Phone Support button or the Chat Support button to access support. A Technical Support Representative can determine the cause of the wireless issue you are experiencing and resolve it for you.
