Greetings,
I have a Canon TR7000 series printer. It's been a solid printer for several years now. The only complaint I have is that it does not stay online for very long, maybe an hour, then it switches to offline. The temporary solution of course is just to hit the online button, but that's not very elegant. So my query is this: IS there a setting to "Stay Online"? Or some kind of fix for this? Appreciate any help rendered, and thank you for your attention to this matter.

Rick,
It's not dropping off the network. It's simply powering down. It doesn't lose its place in the WiFi architecture, it simply gets listed as "offline" until such time as I manually power it up, at which time it receives its DHCP assignment - which, strangely, is always .142, because it's "reserved."
The model # is simply GRYPHON ROUTER. It is the standard tower model, not the AX. It sits behind a modem which I'm pretty sure we bought. It's a fairly standard cable company-type modem, VOiP-capable, and no, it's not a combo.
Again, the problem is not maintaining a wifi connection, it is simply that the printer powers down after (I'm guessing) a period of inactivity. Yet there doesn't seem to be a setting for this.

Greetings,
Let's look at the printer's power management settings.

Try disabling auto power off on the Eco menu.
I'm going to review the manual too.

There ya go, chief. Just what I was looking for. I don't know why I missed that when perusing the settings menu. My apologies for wasting your time with such a simple solution.
Resolved.
Gratitude.
Closure.

Perhaps I spoke too soon. It's baaaaaaack!
I am following the instructions at https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/s/article/ART179286#power , and the printer stays on.....for a while. Then it still shuts off. I check the "Auto Power Off" setting, and it says NEVER. So it should NEVER turn off, right?
