PIXMA MX922 Scanner Utilities won't install

I recently purchased a new PC with Windows 11. When I try to install the OEM drivers for my Canon PIXMA MX922 printer, the following error displays: "An error occurred while files were being copied. : 0305 0036". As as result, the Canon drivers for the scanner utilities won't install. What does the error code signify, and how can I overcome it?

Since your pc is new make sure Windows is not in S mode, if it is it will not allow you any installations except from the Microsoft Store. 

Steps to Disable S Mode in Windows 11

To switch out of S mode in Windows 11, follow these simple steps:

Access Activation Settings

1. Open Settings on your PC.
2. Navigate to System.
3. Click on Activation.

Switch Out of S Mode

• Look for the section labeled S mode.
• Click on Go to the Store.

Complete the Process

• In the Microsoft Store, follow the prompts to confirm the switch.
• After confirmation, you will be able to install apps from outside the Microsoft Store.

Important Notes

• Switching out of S mode is a one-way process; you cannot revert back to S mode once you make the switch.
• There is no charge for switching out of S mode.
