PIXMA MX340 all in one printer: laptop is unable to see printer.

Like many others, I just purchased a new laptop with windows 11 installed.  I downloaded the updated driver from Cannon but my laptop cannot see my printer.  Keeps on saying plug in, press power button... I am using a usb connection and have followed the troubleshooting instructions several times to no avail...  I love this all in one printer and never had any trouble with it and do not want to replace.  It is a testimony to Cannon to have a printer that lasts this long and continues to work well!

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The PIXMA MX340 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!
