PIXMA MG6620 error 5100

Help please im not sure what happened, the ink cartridges are put in fine. They’re new, there’s no forigen objects. I took off a setting to avoid the error but it was working fine yesterday. It makes a squeaking noise than stops and gives me a error and doesn’t print my paper out.

Hi ani2jubi,

The 5100 error can be caused by a paper jam.  Please follow the steps on this page to clear any foreign objects or jammed paper from your printer:

Canon MG6600 series > When Paper Is Jammed 

If the issue persists, the next step would be to clean the encoder.  Please follow the instructions on the page linked below to clean this part of your MG6620:
