Hi, I've had my G6020 Pixma printer for about 6 months and been printing from my PC with it with no problems. I've recently transitioned to using my Mac for work and downloaded the correct drivers, but it doesn't have any of the options available to me like when I print from my PC, which looks like this:
https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/PrinterDriver/W/G6000%20series/1.0/EN/PPG/dg-c_print_op.html
On my Mac, I can't select paper type (luster, matte, etc. like I can on my PC), nor can I change the ICM color profiles, or adjust other specific settings that I need in order to print for my work. It seems that the Mac driver that is the only thing available on Canon's website and it doesn't include any of these additional options, is there anything I can do to fix it?
Thanks for any help!

Hi DiagonNez,
Please make sure that you are visiting the Canon USA web site, not a third party web site, as there are no drivers available for the PIXMA G6020 to be used with the Mac OS. You can access the Support Page for your PIXMA G6020 by using this link:
The PIXMA G6020 uses Airprint, which is the Mac's built in printing system. In the application that you are printing from, if you click on File and Print, the Print Settings window will appear. By selecting Media & Quality from the drop down box, you will be able to select the paper type from this window.
More information can be viewed here:

It's sad that they don't make a driver. You can't use a custom profile.

so are you saying there is no way to get this to work on a Mac? I can adjust the paper settings to some degree, but I cannot adjust color or anything like that. Are we Mac users just out of luck here?

also, the AirPrint display does not allow you to choose paper type aside from "photo, plain paper, envelope." It does not let you choose luster, matte, glossy, etc. I would not have purchased this printer if I'd known I wouldn't be able to access these controls. In this day and age, there should be support for apple products on par with windows. This isn't the late 90s where you can't find drivers for apple products anywhere.

Absolutely embarrassing for Canon to have this limitation. It's 2025.
