PIXMA G3200 won't connect to HP Chromebook

I just took everything out of the box, set it up and filled the ink.  Trying to connect to wi fi.  I get a message that it cannot connect to the operating system.  I have an HP Chromebook.  Am I out of luck?

Do the specs for the printer say that it is Chromebook-compatible?  Is there a driver that specifically says it is for Chromebook?

I wouldn't even know where to look to find that out.

On Canon Support for the printer.

In whatever materials came with the printer.

A web search for your printer + compatibility with Chromebook.

Thank you for your time.  I just spoke with Canon Customer Support who did confirm that this printer is not compatible with that printer.  He was kind enough to send me a list of printers that will work with my computer.  He also informed me to check the "Product Specifications" tab on websites as well.  I'm usually much more diligent.
