I'm running Mac OS 10.10.5. My MX925 is connected to my network's modem/router using Ethernet through a switch. WiFi is off on my Mac as I find that hard-wiring is more reliable than WiFi. This set-up works perfectly for printing. Scanning does not however work; I get the standard error messages of which 'Network connection is prohibited by security software' is the only one that might apply. I can however scan OK if I turn WiFi on for both the printer and the Mac.
Is there a way to resolve this? My MX850 (now retired) did not have this problem. And third-party scanning software doesn't either.
