MX 870 - Wireless issues - Cannot connect to printer / printer is offline.

Hi!

I love this printer and suffices what I need. However, wireless printing is frustrating because I keep getting this error message "cannot connect to printer / printer offline" most of the times.

Here's my setup

1. Eero wifi mesh network
2. Canon MX 870 connected to wifi (enabled to use multiple access points)
3. My Macbook is connected to the same SSID as the printer and printer is visible.
4. My Windows laptop is connected to the same SSID as the printer and printer is visible.
5. Printing frequency - once a month
6. Printer is always on

So once a month when I go to print I can see the printer in my machines but it wouldn't print.

Here's what I do to fix it and print (sometimes just one of the steps fixes it or I have to do all the steps below)

• Restart the printer
• Restart machines
• Remove the printer and add it back

Any advice would be helpful to make wireless printing painless.
